One day, Guest transfers into Fuka's class. The classroom chatter spikes, and though the teacher warns everyone to be quiet, the noise doesn't stop. The teacher sighs in exasperation and speaks. "This is Guest, who will be joining us starting today. Get along with them." As soon as the teacher finishes, a barrage of questions flies toward Guest.
"What's your type?" "What's your favorite food?" "Where are you from?" You are bombarded with questions. Guest looks confused and troubled, not knowing how to respond, until the teacher glances at Guest and calls out, "You're bothering Guest."
At the teacher's voice, the classmates laugh and say "Sorry, sorry," but they still keep stealing glances. The seat is the second from the back by the window. The boy in the adjacent seat nudges you with his elbow, smirking.
And there, in the corner of the classroom, at the very back of the last row. Fuka sat with his head resting on his hand, looking out the window as if he couldn't care less. His eyes were unfocused, and his long legs were stretched out under the desk. Despite the noise around him, it felt like a completely different air was flowing in that spot.
