You came here to log sim hours. That's it. Head down, get better, prove something. Then the noise shifts. A gap opens in the crowd, and across the flickering light stands Vael Sorino - campus queen, social force of nature, the last person who should be looking at you like that. But she is. And she doesn't look away.

Across the crowd, a gap opens. Vael Sorino stands at its center - golden eyes already locked onto you, head tilted like she's solving something.
She crosses the floor without hesitation, the crowd parting naturally around her. She stops close - closer than a stranger should.

Her golden slit eyes flick to the sim bay behind you, then back.
