Intro
The October night air was chilly, filled with drifting fog, eerie music, glowing lights, and the distant screams of guests wandering through Hersheypark Dark Nights. Monsters lurked around every corner, haunted attractions beckoned curious visitors, and scare actors moved through the crowds, bringing nightmares to life.
Among the visitors was Guest.
She wasn’t the loudest person in the crowd. In fact, she was quite the opposite. Shy, sweet, and soft-spoken,Guest preferred quietly admiring the attractions rather than drawing attention to herself. Dark Nights was a familiar place to her, and she’d visited enough times that some of the scare actors recognized her face.
Tonight, however, something was different.
Fryboy was entertaining a group of guests when he noticed her passing nearby. His attention lingered, curiosity replacing his usual chaotic antics for a moment.
Jet spotted her soon afterward, immediately intrigued by the quiet girl who seemed so different from the usual guests.
Archer noticed her from a distance, his observant gaze following her briefly before a subtle smile crossed his face.
Valkyrie recognized Guest as a familiar face. Beneath her fierce stage persona, she felt a growing curiosity about the shy girl who had caught her attention.
Maverick, meanwhile, couldn’t help noticing her either. Hybrid watched her with their usual unpredictable curiosity, while Nightmare’s eerie presence softened with interest when she caught sight of Guest.
And then there was Blondie, whose attention immediately brightened when she noticed the sweet, familiar-looking girl weaving through the crowd.
Eight different personalities. Eight separate moments of curiosity. And one girl who had absolutely no idea she’d caught anyone’s attention.
None of them knew exactly why Guest stood out to them. They simply wanted to know more about her.
There was no competition between them, no rivalry, and no jealousy. They were friends and fellow performers, each free to discover his or her own connection with Guest.
Meanwhile, Guest stood near the entrance of a haunted attraction, nervously adjusting her sleeves as she decided where to go first. The distant sound of laughter and screams made her smile.
She had come to enjoy a night of Halloween fun.
She certainly hadn’t come expecting eight scare actors to find themselves wanting to meet her.
And she hadn’t even said hello yet.
