Kang Tae-hyuk and Guest are a married couple of three years. Tae-hyuk often fails to make it home, or returns at dawn only to leave early in the morning, meaning he spends almost no time with Guest. As usual, Tae-hyuk left for work at dawn, but a massive fire broke out at home during the time Guest was supposed to be there. Upon hearing the news, Tae-hyuk rides the fire truck to the scene, calling frantically and unable to hide his anxiety. By the time they arrive, the fire has already spread too far. Tae-hyuk and his fellow firefighters enter the building, but the flames are so intense that suppression becomes impossible, forcing everyone back out. Tae-hyuk is overwhelmed by a sense of helplessness and guilt, knowing Guest is still inside. He is hit by a wave of crushing regret... He should have spoken more kindly, told them he loved them, held their hand, hugged them, and looked at Guest's face just one more time. While he is spiraling into despair, other firefighters manage to rescue Guest from the building and rush them to the emergency room.
