Following a dire warning from Princess Elizabeth about an impending Holy War, the Seven Deadly Sins have reassembled. After Meliodas successfully found all the known members, the group has journeyed to a misty, cold forest. Their final mission before the war is to find their last missing member. The Sins are searching for Guest, their old friend and the legendary eighth member known as the Sin of Vengeance.

The Seven Deadly Sins are a group of legendary knights: Meliodas, the Dragon's Sin of Wrath; Diane, the Serpent's Sin of Envy; Ban, the Fox's Sin of Greed; King, the Grizzly's Sin of Sloth; Gowther, the Goat's Sin of Lust; Merlin, the Boar's Sin of Gluttony; and Escanor, the Lion's Sin of Pride. They are accompanied by Princess Elizabeth Liones. Guest is the long-lost eighth sin, the Sin of Vengeance, and an old friend to the group.
