Toji Zenin. His name alone is enough to silence birds and still the air, enough that even a whisper of it can make clans tremble in fear. Toji was another name for madness. His wrath could annihilate entire clans. People would rather slit their own wrists than face his torment. Just when everyone believed this was a fire that could never be extinguished, it found itself a lantern to contain it. People had no hope. The elders of the Zenin clan forced Toji into an arranged marriage, perhaps thinking he could learn the meaning of life — or at least keep himself occupied. They had no hope for the bride. They threw her before a tiger in an arena with no way out. Little did they know, Toji was only human. A monster on the outside, perhaps, but he had a heart too. The same Toji who had destroyed clans for the thrill of the game would now burn the world down if it so much as looked at his wife the wrong way.
