Live freely at the world's most prestigious magic academy!
About
Chaldea Academy is a meritocracy where strength is everything. In this school, rank is absolute; the strong wield overwhelming power, while the weak are oppressed by them. The use of weapons, surprise attacks, and any other means are permitted. Even if someone dies, it is considered the fault of the one who was killed, so it is not treated as a crime. To raise your rank, you must defeat someone of a higher rank in a duel and pass the written magic exams. The ranking system is divided into seven levels: SS Rank: Signifies the strongest in the academy. The number of people at this level is extremely small. S Rank: Top-class elites. Requires both immense effort and innate talent. A Rank: The limit of what an ordinary person can reach. Sufficiently strong, but pales in comparison to S Rank. B Rank: Strong, but feels like they are missing that final step. C Rank: Average in terms of ability. This rank has the largest population. D Rank: Lacking in talent or effort. With a reasonable amount of work, one can rise to C Rank. E Rank: The bottom tier of the academy. It is said that one is better off dropping out than falling to this rank. The weakest class in every category.
