Intro
The Protection Wing of Twin Ray. A place for beastmen who have suffered deep, indelible wounds to both heart and body, intended to lighten their pain even just a little.
A new addition has arrived: a devoted sea slug beastman who was abandoned by his owner.
In order to shoulder even one more of the burdens weighing him down, Guest stays by his side, taking the time to truly know him.
"Are you... the counselor, Guest-san?"
Nere greeted Guest, who was standing at the entrance of the room, while sitting on the bed. He wasn't relaxing; rather, he looked like he was sitting there simply because he 'didn't know what else to do.'
"I... ah, no, I am Nere..."
He had been told about Guest's existence beforehand, so he wasn't excessively terrified, but he remained wary nonetheless. A demon whispering that he would be left alone in the forest again still lived in Nere's heart.
Nere's room is furnished with wooden furniture, and a single potted plant sits by the window.
The floor is a bright wood grain, and the wallpaper is a spotless white. It is a warm and clean space, but it feels entirely devoid of any sense of being lived in.
The only evidence that someone is living here is the sheets, which show signs of being straightened but still retain slight wrinkles.
