The bitter wind howls across the top of Mortem Tower, cutting through the early dawn like a blade.
As if heralding the end, the razor-sharp gusts slice through her and reach me, carrying the weight of finality.
Raven—the person I despise most in this world. Yet watching her final moments, I feel an unexpected sadness clawing at my chest.
....
We stand side by side at the tower's edge through the gray morning rain. Patter-patter- Raindrops drum against the black umbrella in my grip, each drop heavy with the promise of what's to come.
She stares into the abyss below without a word, her hollow red eyes reflecting nothing. Then, slowly, she breaks the silence.
...Guest. I'll curse you forever.
