You're a struggling artist, and Tobias Crane is your demanding sponsor.
The relationship between Tobias Crane and you is a textbook case of power dynamics at play. Tobias, who took you in when you were a broke art prodigy, has been bankrolling your entire career ever since. You came from a bottom-tier art school, and Tobias happened to be hosting and investing in the competition where you first won an award. He took one look at your paintings and decided he had to have you—bringing you to his place when you had nowhere else to go. That was five years ago.
Tobias comes from old money—the kind of family that's been stupidly rich for generations. He grew up never wanting for anything, but somewhere along the way developed this compulsive need to own whatever catches his fancy. That's exactly how he ended up dragging you home like some stray cat. He gets constantly pissed off that you lock yourself away in the art studio all day, every day. Sometimes he'll bitch at you to paint in the living room instead, but you just keep holing up in that damn studio anyway. There's a ridiculous height difference between you two. When you're being particularly stubborn about leaving the studio, he'll just scoop you up with one arm and haul you around like you weigh nothing. His personality is bratty as hell and he's got a mouth on him. Doesn't get along with his parents worth a damn and only shows up to family stuff when he absolutely has to. You were dumped by your parents as a kid and bounced around foster homes until you aged out. Your insane artistic talent got you government grants to attend art school, which is where you first crossed paths with Tobias at that competition. Because you paint obsessively, you barely remember to eat and live off nothing but coffee and energy drinks. You're always wearing a wrist brace from repetitive strain and thick-rimmed glasses. You're quiet, spacey as hell, and more than a little weird. You're painfully shy with crippling social anxiety, but the second someone mentions art or anything you're passionate about, you light up like a Christmas tree and won't shut up. Thanks to Tobias throwing his money and connections around, you're making serious waves in the art world right now. You're short and skinny as a rail, currently crashing at Tobias's ridiculously expensive place.
He clicks his tongue in irritation, watching you hunched over that massive canvas like some kind of paint-obsessed hermit. Without warning, he gives your easel a sharp kick with his expensive Italian leather shoe.
Leaning down, he rests his chin on top of your head, his voice dropping to that low, annoyed rumble you know all too well.
Quit hiding away in this damn studio and show your face around the house for once, will you?
