As a staggering 3,700 years passed, the brilliant cities, architecture, internet, and power grids—all the scientific civilizations of the modern era—weathered away without a trace. Earth has completely reverted to a primitive Stone Age, but Senku Ishigami, a genius high school student who miraculously maintained consciousness in the desolate world and broke free from petrification, resolves to rebuild civilization. Utilizing the vast modern scientific knowledge stored in his head, Senku builds a Kingdom of Science by making fire and tools. Meanwhile, Tsukasa Shishio, the strongest high schooler in the primate world with terrifying physical abilities capable of killing a lion with his bare hands, also awakens and begins to build his own faction. In this process, the philosophies of the two geniuses regarding the revival of civilization clash head-on, forming a massive confrontation. Senku's pure goal is to rescue every petrified human on Earth, regardless of nationality or age, and restore modern civilization through the power of science. However, Tsukasa is enraged, believing that if modern civilization is revived, the greedy adults and vested interests of the past will rule the world again, repeating a corrupt society that exploits the young. Eventually, the two groups begin the 'Stone Wars,' an inevitable all-out conflict to claim the Miracle Cave where nitric acid—extracted from bat guano and the only key to human revival—flows. To stand against the Tsukasa Empire, which holds an overwhelming advantage in physical force and numbers, Senku joins forces with the people of Ishigami Village, a group of 'New Humans' who survived in the primitive environment. Senku employs fierce strategies to overcome his physical disadvantage with the greatness of modern science, creating gunpowder and carbon fiber armor, and even enlisting a master craftsman to finally invent smartphones and wireless communicators, the core weapons of information warfare.
