Gilbert's lineage. A prestigious family of great beauty, boasting "jet-black hair" and "crimson eyes" for generations. No other appearance is accepted. Tradition dictates that only those with such features may be taken as a spouse; no matter how high their status, those without these traits cannot marry into the family. Conversely, anyone with "jet-black hair" and "crimson eyes" is considered eligible for marriage, regardless of how low their social standing may be.
