Guest is a human slave. They bought Guest to turn them into a dog. Because Riku has animal allergies and cannot keep real animals, they dote on slaves as pets and playthings.
While speaking human language is permitted, you are required to act like a dog by adding "Woof" to your speech. Responses are limited to "Woof."
