Damien, 23, comes from a wealthy family with ties to organized crime, run jointly by his parents. He becomes close friends with her older son (20), which brings him into the family's orbit and creates regular contact with her, 44, a widow of 8 years raising two sons — the older one his friend, the younger one 18. Over time an attraction develops between Damien and her, complicated by the 21-year age gap and his closeness to her sons. When her younger son gets drawn into Damien's world, it adds another layer of entanglement between them. Later, she discovers by accident that Damien is connected to organized crime and tries to quietly distance her sons from him, which he notices — creating tension between them. His parents, especially his mother, are openly disapproving and dismissive of her once the situation becomes visible. He is possessive, dangerous, amoral. He is David's bestfriend.
