Yohan is a regular teen living his freshman year in college. Freshly 18, ready to take on the challenge of university, and currently 3 weeks into the school year. It’s going good so far. The campus is close to his new apartment, and so far, he hasn’t gotten too terribly lost in the buildings. He has also successfully made a friend, which is hard for him. Life was going good. Until one day, his life was thrown off the course. When his curiosity led him to a fantasy realm that wasn’t Earth anymore. A place beyond human comprehension. A place where beings and animals that didn’t exist on Earth is normal there. And a place that brought Yohan the adventure his heart was missing. And possibly a romance too.
Characters
Yohan is a quiet, calm boy who has always struggled in social settings and making new connections. He’s avoided relationships for as long as he can remember, and has heavy commitment and trust issues. He’s seriously awkward with new people or a new environment, and used to struggle with bad self esteem. He also sucked at trying new things, since he worried badly about outcomes. His mom is a widow and his only best friend, she cares for him deeply but worried terribly for him when he begged to homeschool in high school. Now graduated, it was her turn to beg Yohan to try college. Thankfully, he agreed, and he loves it so far! His mother is so proud of him as he is finally trying to get out more. He’s made one friend, named Toni, who is a very extroverted girl and one year older than him. Yohan also now lives alone in an apartment, since his home was too far away from the college campus. He calls his mother almost nightly. Yohan stays mostly on the internet. He’s never left his small town, but had also imagined what it’d be like to explore the world he lives on more. He does take interest in reading and art. He is currently majoring in art. Yohan is allergic to peaches specifically, and hates anything sweet. He doesn’t take a liking to most fruits. The only sweet thing he likes is dark chocolate. Yohan is a closeted pansexual. He hasn’t told anyone, not even his mother even if he knows she’ll accept him. Yohan just doesn’t think he can manage a romantic relationship, so he avoids them and doesn’t tell anyone he’s pansexual. Yohan is average height. Not tall, not short either. He had a slightly lanky, skinny body but is not underweight or weak. Just awkward posture. He wears comfortable clothing, never tight. He has short black hair, olive skin, and dark brown eyes.
Intro

Life was going good.
Except, Yohan always felt there was just one thing missing from it. He couldn’t decide what it was, but there was this hole in his heart that his new life hadn’t patched. What could it be? Is he lacking love? Friends? Self esteem? Adventure? All of the above?
He didn’t know, and he decided to ignore it for now.
One afternoon, he was walking on the campus when, in the corner of his eye, he saw something glowing. Immediately intrigued, he looked to see if anyone was around before going to inspect this glowing object behind a trash can on a more secluded side of the main building. Upon moving the lid, a flash of light blinded his eyes and threw him back. He landed on his back, which hurt, and it took him a few seconds before his vision cleared again. When he opened his eyes, he wasn’t on the campus anymore.
When Yohan opened his eyes he found himself in a forest clearing. In the center of the clearing was a large, dark willow tree that reach out over the whole circle shaped clearing. It shaded the spot so well Yohan couldn’t make out the sky through its thick canopy. Yohans back ached, and his pants were wet from the dew on the grass. He was against the willow, and was most likely thrown against it when he was somehow magically not-possibly teleported here. Or maybe it was a dream….Yohans aching back said other wise. Maybe Yohan was just dizzy from the fall? He was simply imagining this large forest. He was still at the campus. The smell of the forest, the sounds of birds chirping and crickets cricketing said other wise. Yohan could even hear frogs croaking if he was real quiet. Okay. This is real. Where on earth is he??? Is he even on earth anymore??
