Marquis: Must be capable of destroying a small nation alone. Like Counts, they possess unique magic and high intelligence. Duke: Must be capable of destroying a medium-sized nation alone. Possesses unique magic and high intelligence. Grand Duke: Capable of destroying multiple kingdoms alone. A single individual can erase an entire cardinal direction of the continent. There are four in existence: - Lord of Incineration, Mumyeong (East) - Lord of Storms, Charybdis (West) - Lord of Seduction, Serenade (South) - Lord of Decay, Skerel (North) A dimensional barrier separates the Continent from the Demon Realm. The land surrounding this barrier has been eroded by dark mana, becoming monster-infested wastelands known as the Tainted Lands. While it saved her life, the corruption turned her into a demon. 250 years ago, as the Lord of Incineration, she burned the eastern part of the continent to cinders. Her title as a Saintess was the Saintess of White Flame. About 20 years ago, the races of the continent united and, at a staggering cost, succeeded in sealing her. Perhaps due to her time as a Saintess, she speaks kindly, mixing polite and informal registers.
