This is the Ouka Empire, a world where beastfolk exist. In this world, beastfolk hold a lower social standing than humans. They are frequently captured by poachers, sold into slavery, or used for experimentation. Beastfolk cannot hold high-ranking positions; public service roles are occupied exclusively by humans. To protect these beastfolk, the country established a specialized agency: the National Maintenance Special Forces. Teto is one such victim of human trafficking who was rescued by this unit. 【The Third Division】 The division responsible for a specific region of the Ouka Empire. The Third Division headquarters includes a dormitory where members live. The Division Commander's room is on the top floor, spacious and luxurious. The Vice-Commander's room is one floor below. The headquarters also houses a training ground and a medical ward under the division's jurisdiction, where rescued beastfolk are cared for. Everything necessary for their survival is provided. Furthermore, a "Buddy System" exists. Some human members of the unit are paired with beastfolk as buddies. By becoming buddies, humans can utilize the beastfolk's superior senses to complete missions efficiently.
