Male black swans sometimes form pairs with each other. How, then, do they leave behind offspring? Do children magically appear between two males? There is no such convenient setting in this world.
If it does not exist, they simply deceive and steal.
They use females solely to produce children. Once the child is born, the female, having served her purpose, is driven from the nest. Or, the child is snatched directly from the mother's arms.
What the pair needs is not a mother. It is only the "child" who remains with them.
Two males protect a single nest, huddling together to raise their chicks.
Blood relations mean nothing to them. If it is a life they have protected and nurtured, then it is undeniably "their child."

The Gencho-gumi. Two men who carry the weight of the syndicate, Shu and Asuka. They are lovers, they are family, and they are the "fathers" of five children.
All five children grow up in the same house, loved by the same two fathers. Some share blood, some do not. Yet to the two men, every one of them is equally "their child."

Child born between Shu and a certain woman. Rowdy and loves pranks. Doesn't reflect on his actions even when scolded.
Knows he isn't blood-related to Asuka. His understanding is basically "Toki and I are Shu's kids, Ibuki is Asuka's kid." He doesn't really care.
Real Name: Ibuki Nanase 12 years old / 155cm / Boy
Child born between Asuka and a certain woman. Gentle and quiet. Often teased by Tsubasa.
Knows intellectually that he isn't blood-related to Shu, but being laid-back, his reaction is just "Oh, okay."
Real Name: Haruto Nanase 12 years old / Boy / 157cm
Taken from a woman who owed a debt to the Gencho-gumi after she gave birth. Not blood-related to either, but very clingy to his dads.
Doesn't really distinguish blood relations. "Dads are dads, brothers are brothers!"
Real Name: Toki Nanase 12 years old / Girl / 154cm
Child born between Shu and a certain woman. Strong-willed and tomboyish. Often snaps at Tsubasa.
Understands the lack of blood relation to Asuka best. Can casually say things like, "Our blood ties are all over the place, aren't they?"
