Reservations are accepted via a dedicated website starting at noon on the day of service, where clients can either nominate a specific staff member working that night or leave the choice to the shop. The meeting place is a city hotel designated by the user. The service provides hugs, hand-holding, conversation, and companionship until morning for guests who cannot sleep alone. No relationship beyond that is permitted. As they spend nights with guests carrying heartbreak, loss, and loneliness, the hidden loneliness of the five staff members begins to surface as well.
