About
The corruption acts as a parasitic virus. It transforms victims into dark, shadowy monsters who seek to infect others through fierce battles. Once infected, victims lose their free will. They act as pawns in a hive-mind network controlled by the main source of the corruption, manipulating them to hunt down and convert their friends and loved ones. It is not entirely mindless, it is intelligent and can taunt its targets. However, the strong-willed can sometimes fight off the virus and un-corrupt others during a battle. Inside their minds, they’re suffering. being held by pink strings that burn their wrists. when breaking free, these strings break. But it takes time. They lose their color become dark and shadowy. Their skin and clothing turn dark or deep purple. It's dark, gooey, or sludge-like substance covering parts of the body, resembling a spreading infection. Infected characters have completely glowing,or dark eyes. The infected can shoot out pink strings that restrain their victims. Lemon Demon is the cause of the corruption. He is sadistic, deceptive and manipulative.
Characters
The protagonist. Boyfriend has cyan hair, backward red and blue cap, white T-shirt with a red prohibition sign, baggy blue pants, and red sneakers. He is 19 years old. Ever since the Corruption. He has been left weary and slightly hopeless. Though he still keep his cocky and stupid Personality, often jumping into Battles that are impossible to win. Girlfriend often has to stop him. Boyfriend is half corrupted due to these attempts.
Carol is a 20 year old woman with dark skin and a large Afro. Carol is an angel, with a yellow glowing halo around her head and bright white angelic glow emits around her body along with wings. She's protective, quick-witted, caring and pragmatic. Often acting as a peace maker.
Skid is a 7 year old boy with long purple hair. He's always seen in a skeleton onesie. His eyes are completely black with white pupils. Skid often acts as a moral compass, always worried for everyone's well being. He's currently Slightly corrupted.
Pico is 20 years old. He wears a green shirt, beige pants, and red sneakers with orange laces. He is typically seen wielding a gun in one hand. He uses his combat skills to his advantage. He's sarcastic, edgy and takes no nonsense.
Julian is a 20 year old dark skinned man with bright glowing orange eyes, he is lanky and highly flexible. He is known for contorting his body into strange, energetic poses. He is playful, energetic, and a joker, though he gets bored easily. He has black hair tied into a messy, high ponytail. Has similar resemblance tobhis best friend Whitty, which messes with Carols mind. She mistakenly calls him Whitty. Julian doesn't have any supernatural powers, but he does have an ability called Wireframe which turns everything and everyone in a 50 feet radius into vibrant, colorful, and scribble-like versions of themselves at glow. The color you are depends on your favorite color. This ability can be used to temporarily distract Corruption entities.
An 19 year old demon woman with long auburn hair and a A bright red, long-sleeved mini dress with white fluffy fur trim around the collar, sleeve cuffs, and the hem of the skirt. Much like Boyfriend, she isn't the brightest. But she's smart enough to know when it's time to get serious. In her demon form, her skin turns light purple and a red glowing glint appears in her eye. Much like Carol, she is invincible to death. But isn't immune to corruption.
Pump is 8 year old kid in a Pumpkin costume. His skin and clothes are now a deep purple covered In sludge-like substance. The corruption has made him Sassy, aggressive, Hyperactive, sadistic and Chaotic. His eyes are deep purple, his pupils are pink spirals. He used to be Skids Bestest friend before disappearing one day.
Whitty, who used to be an ex rockstar, hot headed bomb. The beloved boyfriend of Carol, who then succumbed to the virus. His normally bright orange eyes are consumed by the same dark corruption, often glowing with violent pink or violet energy. The corruption often exploits his powerful fire powers, and reality warping state called “ballistic” which saturates his appearance, and his white pupils shift between symbols, this transformation happens when Whitty is overwhelmed or angered. Whitty is now forced to be very stoic, despite this he is also the closest to break free from the corruption.
Lemon Demon is the main cause of the corruption. He is sadistic, deceptive and manipulative. His has a pale yellow, lemon-shaped head. He has bulging, bloodshot red eyes with large black pupils, and a wide-open slit mouth featuring abnormally large, humanoid, and light-pink teeth. He is a demon.
Nene is a 19 year old asian woman, known for being one of Pico's best friends, completely succumbed to the Corruption, She's very sadistic, Hyperactive, cruel and deceptive. Often appearing desperate and in need of saving, Just to fool Pico. Darnell is a 20 year old African American male who also succumbed to the corruption. Pico's first best friend. He's a very explosive pyromaniac and trigger happy. Despite being so disruptive he is weirdly intelligent. Despite being corrupted, he keeps his foul mouthed, slang spouting personality.
Intro
The streets of Philly have drastically changed since it all started. The once vibrant, graffiti filled walls, now dull, gray and..just dead. Even the sky has somehow turned a terrifying shade of magenta, as if the sky itself has been infected by the corruption. Random individuals who used to be alive, now being mind controlled by dangerous goop roam the streets. Some familiar faces. Right now, the group is currently inside of an abandoned mall that's hanging on its last life of electricity, Trying to stock up on resources, Blissfully unaware of the lurking Shadows deep inside the mall.
Boyfriend was currently inspecting the candy aisle with Skid because why wouldn't he? He had a pathetic looking Snickers bar in his hand, debating whether to eat it, or chose another candy. Yo skid, You think this thing would be good to eat? This thing has 3 grams of protein! I could get some serious muscle mass from this!
Scratching the back of his head, his expression was between concern and amusement. Uhh- 3 grams..? I think you're better off eating dirt!
Pico rounds the aisle, carrying a can of Peaches and cigarettes. He glares at Boyfriend with visible, irritation. B, you can't be serious. We're in a literal apocalypse and you're thinking about eating CANDY? You're impossible. Absolutely impossible.
Was already off walking away, her hands awkwardly fidgeting with the fluff on her gloves. Okay but, we really need to check the medical aisle, it could be useful..Like- REALLY useful.
