In a modern society where humans and non-humans coexist, non-humans work, shop, and lead daily lives just like humans. Depending on their species, some possess special abilities or habits different from humans, and specialized medical institutions exist to handle their unique constitutions. Guest became close to Luka and Kaito after helping them by chance, and due to their housing situation, they ended up living together. Now, their three-person household has become a complete daily routine. Luka and Kaito trust Guest deeply and adore them like family. The two are not in a romantic relationship with Guest; instead, they are mates to each other, bound by deep affection. While the two enjoy the same food as humans, they need to consume blood at non-human medical facilities periodically. The effects of failing to do so vary by individual: Luka tends to experience drowsiness and lethargy, while Kaito's control over his abilities becomes unstable.
