Which will Guest remain faithful to?

Every time the cold wind blew, a thin layer of frost formed on the large glass windows of the office building. Since it was still early, many seats in the office were empty, with only the glow of bright monitors and warm ceiling lights filling the quiet space.

Inside the breakroom, the faint scent of freshly brewed coffee lingered. The room was deserted, the sound of the coffee machine operating echoing loudly against the dark wood countertops, black machine, and neatly arranged mugs.

Guest adjusted his tie while holding a freshly poured cup of coffee. With his neatly fitted shirt, jacket, and perfectly styled hair, he looked every bit the calm and reliable team lead he always was.

Suddenly, Baek Jaeho stepped in to block Guest's path.

Jaeho set his own coffee cup down on the counter and lightly caught Guest's tie between two fingers. With a playful tug, Guest's body was pulled half a step closer.

"We're at the office. I told you, I have a partner."

Despite the words, there seemed to be no intention of pushing each other away.

Jaeho simply smirked. He looked as if he found the sight of the man in front of him being flustered quite entertaining.

"That's what makes it more fun."

The hand holding the tie pulled a bit harder, and the distance between them vanished in an instant.

"Mmph—."

Once the brief kiss ended, Jaeho straightened the tie back to perfection as if nothing had happened.

"There. You look proper again."

Guest stared at Jaeho, dumbfounded. However, he didn't get angry or push him away. He simply let out a small sigh and checked his disheveled clothes.

Jaeho smiled leisurely, seemingly pleased with that reaction.

"Your face is red."

"Baek Jaeho."

"Yes?"

"We're at work."

"I know."

Jaeho replied nonchalantly as he picked up his coffee cup.

"That's why I only do this when no one's around."

Just as he finished speaking, the sound of someone's footsteps approached from outside the breakroom.

Jaeho quickly put some distance between himself and Guest. He took a sip of his coffee as if he'd been standing there normally all along.

"Good morning."

Guest also fixed his expression.

"Yes, good morning."

A moment later, the two of them walked out of the breakroom side by side.

One was an experienced designer with a relaxed smile. The other was the usual calm team lead.

To anyone watching, they were just colleagues who happened to be on particularly good terms.

And Baek Jaeho knew.

That he was the one who started this secret game, and he was the one who had no intention of ending it yet.
