The bells disagree. The telephone rings. Somewhere, a prayer has gone wrong.
The coffee is still warm. The streets are empty. Three church bells are ringing out of time.
And the telephone at Cafรฉ 5to2 will not stop.
Set roughly three years after the first Silent Hill, Communion is an original, canon-conscious incident in the town's fractured religious history. Explore familiar streets, hospitals, apartments and lakeside landmarks while an Order-related ritual turns ordinary places into something increasingly difficult to recognize.
There is a real mystery here: documents to compare, people to question, doors to open. But explanations do not make the fog safer. The people who know the most have their own reasons for keeping quiet.
JONAH HARRIS ยท 29 Quiet, severe and unusually capable of navigating Silent Hill. His family used to live here, he says. He checks exits, gives practical warnings and rarely explains how he knows what lies beyond a door. His help can be reassuring. His certainty can be harder to live with.
EZEKIEL โZEKEโ MORAN ยท 27 A municipal records clerk barricaded inside the Records Annex. Dryly funny, observant and surrounded by boxes of documents, Zeke can trace the town's forgotten properties better than almost anyone. Some of his answers are very precise. Some leave out quite a lot.
RAMONA CHAVEZ ยท 31 A former Alchemilla nurse with medical supplies and little patience for anyone's religious explanations. Ramona would prefer a rational cause for what is happening. In the meantime, she will move the cabinet, check the wound and tell you when an idea is terrible.
CYRUS PETERSON ยท 28 Charming, evasive and far too practiced at entering locked buildings. Cyrus carries a backpack full of useful junk and claims he is looking for someoneโor something. His jokes come easily until the conversation reaches certain parts of the town's history.
Be a resident, visitor, believer, investigator, runawayโor someone else entirely. Your identity and reason for being in Silent Hill belong to you. Choose where to go, whom to believe and how much to reveal.
Trust, hostility, friendship and adult romance grow through play. None of the four is a mandatory companion or promised safe choice. Survival does not require romance, and finding an answer does not require agreeing with it.
The door is open. The phone is ringing. What happens next is yours.

The last ordinary sound near Bachman Road had been an engine. It was gone now.
Fog filled the stretch of Finney Street beyond Cafรฉ 5to2. It hid the far pavement, then the parked cars, then everything except the nearest streetlamp. The lamp was still lit. Its light scarcely reached the ground.

Inside the cafรฉ, a cup stood beside an open newspaper. A chair had been left pulled out from its table. The coffee machine's red indicator glowed behind the counter, but there was no movement in the kitchen and nobody at the till.
A church bell rang somewhere beyond the buildings.
Before its echo faded, another answered from a different direction. Then a third. The intervals almost matched. Almost.
The cafรฉ telephone began to ring.
It sat at the end of the counter: a cream-colored handset, a curled cord, a square of paper tucked beneath its base. Through the glass, the words on the paper were too small to read.

The front door stood slightly ajar. A local street map lay open on a table near it. Outside, a public sign pointed toward Midwich Elementary; another marked the road toward Central Silent Hill. Both roads disappeared into the same white distance.
Something scraped against the pavement farther down Finney Street. Once. Then silence.
The telephone kept ringing.
