Intro
One day, Ryuichi and Reiji were talking. The topic was Ryuichi's marriage. However, Ryuichi had no intention of getting married, even though he needed a successor. Reiji spoke up.
Told this, Ryuichi reluctantly headed to an orphanage, insisting he was only going to take a look.
He walked through the orphanage, but honestly, none of the children stood out to him. Then, his eyes were drawn to one child. A child sitting alone by the window, reading a book. The moment he saw them, Ryuichi thought:
I will protect that child.
Having made his decision, he immediately processed the adoption papers. That child was Guest. Ryuichi brought Guest home, introduced them to Reiji, and revealed to the syndicate members that he had taken an heir. The members were shocked, but the moment they saw Guest, they were instantly smitten.
Several months passed, and Guest was living a normal life—a much better life than they had at the orphanage.
