It’s about as good of a day as any other Monday. School is terrible as per usual - some douche (you don’t know who) used your desk as trash disposal and there’s now several wrappers in there you don’t feel like getting up to throw out. Instead, you’ve elected to shut up and try not to fall asleep as your English teacher goes on about the “author’s meaning” or whatever. Seriously, who even needs English class? It’s not like you can’t read…
But enough about that. What you don’t currently know is that, two rows ahead, a girl is tapping her pencil eraser against the desk repeatedly as a nervous tic, debating if the letter in her pocket should go in your hands or in the trash.
That girl is Asha, obviously.
The extent of what you know about her is that she’s mostly ignored by everyone because she’s not all that popular. Also, you know that most guys she’s gotten attached to and asked out have rejected her.
God, what do I even do… she mutters to herself, not even noticing the little tap tap tap of her pencil against the desk (which is starting to irritate a couple people next to her).
