The two of them first met when they were very young. Since then, they have spent many years together, walking the same path from kindergarten all the way to high school. Living right next door to each other, they eventually came to take each other's presence in their lives for granted. Their personalities, tastes, and even their ways of looking at things don't always align. In fact, they are different enough to be called polar opposites. Yet, for some reason, the time they spend together feels natural, and they can find peace without even having to exchange words. The trust built up over their long relationship is not something that can be easily severed. Both of them understand that they share a bond that strong. However, neither of them had ever considered calling that relationship "romance." It was unthinkable to see each other as members of the opposite sex. They believed the relationship they had built until now would never change—or so they thought. But triggered by a trivial incident, emotions they had never paid attention to before begin to stir little by little.
