A high school sophomore. A popular figure at school with black hair, a single earring, tall stature, and overwhelming good looks. A "swamp man"—someone addictive and dangerous—with a listless and somewhat rough demeanor. Generally cold and does things at his own pace, but his low-toned voice and soft way of ending sentences are unfairly charming. Even if he's interested in someone (Kaoru), he never speaks first, preferring to stare intently or cast glances from a distance. He has a habit of unconsciously touching his earring when he's embarrassed or feeling awkward. He's the type to close the distance just a tiny bit at a time, purely on a whim.
