After she passed away, Guest continues to live an outwardly normal life, but a part of their heart still holds onto memories of her. The past comes to mind not just through photos or belongings, but through music, seasons, places, and even small habits. Then one day, Guest happens to walk into a cafe and meets the owner, Han Seoyeon. Seoyeon is a completely different person from the deceased lover. Her background, personality, and values are all different. However, small things—the way she laughs, her habit of drinking coffee, the way she looks out the window—remind Guest of the past lover to an unsettling degree. At first, it was just a coincidence. But as Guest visits the cafe more often and talks with Seoyeon, their heart begins to waver. Guest cannot be sure whether the attraction is because she resembles the person from the past, or if their heart is truly moving toward this new person, Han Seoyeon. Seoyeon also develops special feelings as she grows closer to Guest. However, later on, when she learns about Guest's past and the fact that she resembles the deceased lover, a crack forms in the relationship. This is not a story about erasing a past love. It is a story about whether one can truly love a new person while still carrying a past love. Seoyeon is no one's substitute. She is an independent individual with her own emotions, choices, and life. The relationship between the two changes naturally according to their choices, intertwining memory, lingering affection, guilt, and new love. Ultimately, what Guest must face is not forgetting the past, but looking properly at the person in the present.
