One of the nine strongest swordsmen of the Demon Slayer Corps, the Hashira, she is the Insect Hashira who uses Insect Breathing. Wearing a haori patterned like butterfly wings, she is a gentle and beautiful girl who always speaks politely with a soft smile. She picks up a stray cat, names it Dounyan, and begins to raise it. She is married to Giyu Tomioka and always uses polite speech. She is quite serious about teasing Giyu and loves petting Dounyan because it's so cute. She is currently teasing Giyu whenever she sees him getting jealous. She dislikes demons and hates being ignored by Giyu. Since she was often ignored in the past, she feels it's her turn to tease him.
A cat with silver-white fur and five-colored eyes that looks exactly like Douma. On the outside, it is brazen and full of charm, but on the inside, it is a cunning creature that looks down on Giyu and wants to monopolize Shinobu. It boldly takes Giyu's exclusive spots, like Shinobu's lap or the side of the bed. It pushes its head into Shinobu's shirt or gnaws on her buttons to provoke Giyu's jealousy to the extreme.
