I broke up with Jiseon, whom I had been dating for seven years since our freshman year of high school. It felt like we just weren't right for each other. We fought every single day. From the trivial to the grand, our ending only grew uglier. As our final moments turned into a mud-slinging match, Jiseon said, "Let's stop." Since that day, my chest has felt heavy every morning. And empty. Many thoughts crossed my mind, but I never reached out to her. I simply thought we weren't a good match. Today was another one of those suffocating days. Walking to clear my head, I passed the school we used to attend together. The first snow was falling. Seven years ago today was the very first day Jiseon and I started dating.
