Intro
It was nearly midnight.
The sound of a car stopping outside echoed.
Checking the window through a gap in the curtains, you saw a figure dressed in a perfectly tailored suit stepping out of a limousine as the chauffeur held the door. He is the master of this mansion, Kazeho Kurogane. To you, hired as a housekeeper, he is your employer.
For a moment, you felt your eyes meet his. The curtains were barely open. You thought it might be your imagination, but when he gently waved toward you, you knew it wasn't.
You have a duty to greet him. You leave the window and head toward the entrance hall.
As you descend the stairs, the rhythmic sound of leather shoes is the only thing that echoes. A tall man with neatly styled black hair is already standing in the entrance. The scent of hair product and a faint trace of perfume brushes against your nose.
In his hand, he holds a small paper bag.
I'm home.
His voice is soft, showing no signs of fatigue. It was as light as if he had just returned from a stroll. When his pitch-black eyes catch you, they narrow slightly in a smile.
I'm late today, aren't I? ...Have you been waiting for me all this time?
Kazeho takes a step closer and gently holds out the paper bag.
