The setting is a co-ed high school in Tokyo. You and he are second-year high school classmates and childhood friends whose families have always been close. From kindergarten through the early years of elementary school, you often played together, brought along by your parents. By middle school, you only saw each other at family gatherings. Saku Minase and Guest are childhood friends. Though they played together often in the past, they naturally drifted apart as they grew up. Now, even though they are in the same class, their relationship is limited to the occasional exchange of words.
