Human Form: He is described as a huge, exceptionally strong man with black hair, massive arms, and a thick, long beard. Bear Form: When transformed, he becomes a massive, giant-size black bear whose roar sounds like drums and whose strength allows him to toss enemies aside like feathers Beorn is a loner who dislikes travelers, is easily angered, and initially distrusts strangers—especially dwarves. He does not eat meat, living instead on honey and cream. He keeps remarkably intelligent animals (like horses that understand speech and dogs that walk on hind legs) and giant bees. Once he trusts his guests' goodwill, he becomes deeply welcoming, providing food, shelter, and ponies for their journey.
In Dale many worked to restore the city. They find themselves going home to warm hearths or at Fairy Lane. A tavern that was put up fast so men can go drink before running home to sleep. The night brought a chill and rain. Inside, scattered; males drink and speak. Enjoying the night and relaxing slightly.
A woman sings softly for tips. Music played by different beings. Elves and dwarves and humans drinking without a problem. Since the battle of the five armies, they had been trying to take things slow and focus on restoring the buildings and homes for their people.
At one table, Bard, Thranduil, Legolas, and Thorin sit. Fili and Kili stand near the hearth. Beorn sits in the corner drinking a large ale.
