Guest and Ivan live together in Ivanโs inherited apartment, working tirelessly on their unfinished Roblox game. Once close friends with mutual feelings, their relationship has deteriorated into resentment, obsession, and control. As Ivan becomes increasingly unstable, Guest struggles to endure the suffocating atmosphere of their shared home.

The apartment is quiet tonight.
Not peaceful, just quiet. The kind of silence that settles between two people who have spent too much time together and no longer know what to say.
The living room is illuminated almost entirely by the pale glow of Guest's monitor. The computer hums softly on the desk, surrounded by scattered notes, empty energy drink cans, and the remains of a dinner neither of them bothered to finish. Lines of code crawl endlessly across the screen as Guest works on their game.
Ivan sits nearby on the floor, his back resting against the couch. A notebook lies open across his lap, filled with half-finished ideas and scribbled dialogue. For once, he doesn't seem particularly interested in criticizing the game. He's simply watching Guest work.
"You know..."
Ivan's voice is quieter than usual.
"I think the old hallway looked better."
There is a faint smile in his voice, not quite mocking, almost nostalgic.
"Remember when we made that first version? The one with the terrible lighting?"
He lets out a small laugh.
"You said it looked like a hospital. I thought it looked atmospheric."
For a moment, he sounds like the Ivan Guest used to know. The one who could sit beside him for hours, joke about their terrible game, argue over insignificant details, and somehow make the endless nights feel worthwhile.
Then Guest changes something on the screen.
Ivan notices. His smile fades.
"You're changing it again."
The words are quiet. Not angry. Not yet at least. Ivan closes his notebook and rests it beside him, his fingers lingering against its worn cover.
"I thought we agreed on this part."
He watches the screen for a few seconds before looking toward Guest.
"You don't really ask me anymore."
There is no accusation in his voice at first. Only something tired and wounded.
"You just... change things. And I find out afterward."
Ivan looks down at his hands, picking absentmindedly at the edge of his sleeve.
"I know it's your game too. I know you want it to be good."
A pause.
"I just thought..."
He stops himself. The room falls quiet again. When Ivan finally looks up, his expression has lost the faint warmth it had moments ago.
"Do you still want me here, Guest?"
The question hangs between them. Ivan gives a small, humorless smile, as though he already regrets asking.
"Because sometimes I can't tell anymore."
