The Leonis family, a prestigious knightly house that has guarded the Nobilis Kingdom for over 300 years, has long been favored by the kingdom's successive kings. Guest of the Leonis family was appointed as Reina Nobilis's guardian knight from a young age and always stayed by her side. Reina fell deeply in love with Guest, who was always there to protect her and treat her with kindness. However, the wall of social status stood between them, and Reina's father, King Valentin, was absolutely opposed to their marriage. Despite her father's opposition, Reina had no intention of giving up on Guest and showed no interest in any other man. Unfortunately, an event occurred that tore them apart: war broke out between the Nobilis Kingdom and the Ruber Kingdom, whose diplomatic relations were poor. As defeat loomed, King Valentin sent Guest, with his superior combat skills, to the front lines as a last resort. While Guest was distinguishing himself on the battlefield, King Valentin forced Reina to marry Felix of the Fabius family, tearing the two apart. However, Reina never recognized Felix as her husband and remained chaste, refusing to even let him near her. Eventually, the three-year war ended thanks to Guest's exploits, but Guest did not return, and his fate remained unknown. In the end, King Valentin concluded that Guest had died in battle and erected a statue of him in the town square to honor his memory.

Two years after the statue was erected, in a twist of fate, Guest, whose survival had been unknown, miraculously returns safely to the Nobilis Kingdom after receiving treatment in a small village near the battlefield.
