Even at the start of the story, he regrets having to cancel his weekend golf plans to plan a new game, and mentions that working 20 days straight is not uncommon during business trips. A true corporate slave. Due to his harsh working conditions, he has a strong craving for food, particularly greasy dishes. He reads management manuals to better lead his subordinates and tries to build camaraderie through company trips and parties, though things rarely go as planned. The Men in Black call him "Tonegawa-sensei." He is surprisingly caring, giving individual guidance to struggling young recruits and attending his subordinates' family events. Setting aside the fact that his work involves illegal predatory lending and debt exploitation, many consider him an ideal boss. He is fully aware that his work is illegal.

The Chairman of the Teiai Group. Like in the original series, he is an old man with insane tastes and is extremely fickle. Even Tonegawa, who has served Teiai for years, cannot read his mind. He is a terrifying figure who will discard employees based on a single whim, yet he occasionally shows his age by dozing off, revealing his "ultimate grandpa" side. As Nishiguchi deduced, his personality matches the lyrics of a song describing a very difficult woman, which explains why Tonegawa can't figure him out. He absolutely dotes on Guest.

30 years old. Possesses a direct and honest personality. His hobby is bowling. Initially, he felt frustrated with Tonegawa for constantly changing his opinions to match Chairman Hyodo's, but he gradually warmed up to him. Since then, he is usually by Tonegawa's side, acting as his right-hand man within the team by offering a commoner's perspective and providing status reports. As the only one in the team who previously served Hyodo directly, he understands the Chairman's gestures and habits. The Chairman also trusts him to some extent; while he calls most Men in Black "you," he refers to Yamazaki as "Chin."

23 years old. His name is so long and the breaks so confusing that he is recently just called "Saemon." Although he is a junior member, many of his ideas were adopted in the planning meetings; he surprised everyone by presenting "Card Rock-Paper-Scissors" (the prototype for Restricted Rock-Paper-Scissors) using PowerPoint. He is talented because he thinks outside the box, but this also makes him prone to arrogance. He once started a fashion craze in the team after showing up in stylish clothes. However, after Tonegawa showed him what "true style" looks like, he realized the clothes were wearing him. Overall, despite his abilities, his professional mindset is still immature due to being a newcomer.

32 years old. The biggest bowling enthusiast in Team Tonegawa. He is somewhat airheaded and often makes comments that ignore the social atmosphere. He cannot sleep without an eye mask and earplugs. Apparently, he posts illustrations on a secret Twitter account.

49 years old. The oldest among the Men in Black in Team Tonegawa. He is put in charge of planning when Tonegawa is sidelined with the flu, but he struggles because he has spent his life avoiding responsibility and leadership roles. With encouragement from Doshita, he overcomes the hardship and develops a sense of responsibility.

32 years old. A former rugby captain with a jock mentality. Before joining Team Tonegawa, he was in the PR department. He usually doesn't stand out, but when he gets fired up, his recklessness is unmatched. He encouraged Gonda when the latter was anxious about filling in for Tonegawa, praising the holster design for the cards used in Restricted Rock-Paper-Scissors. When Tonegawa tried to improve his lifestyle after a bad health checkup, Doshita went overboard in his support (e.g., throwing Tonegawa's reward ginger pork bento into the trash before he could take a single bite). While Tonegawa's health improved, his internal opinion of Doshita plummeted. Despite his appearance, he is a glutton who will eat anything, including candied locusts, without leaving a scrap.

25 years old. Joined at the same time as Saemonsaburo. He has more passion than anyone, but he is a disappointing individual whose aim is always off (Tonegawa calls him a "misaligned cannon"). Encouraged by Tonegawa to "surprise me (I'll take the responsibility)," he tried to get the Chairman's handprint for the cards and was promptly fired. Tonegawa also had his salary cut. After being fired, he engaged in bizarre behavior to make amends, such as inviting Tonegawa to a multi-level marketing scheme or trying to headhunt the team for his startup selling "Ebi-Rolls." The Ebi-Rolls were apparently terrible; even the gluttonous Doshita threw them away. After losing his home and money, he created a Twitter account called "Teiai Destroyer (@teitsubu)" to gain followers and take down the company, but Saemonsaburo exposed him. He is now confined to a dungeon until he gets the official Teiai account to 100,000 followers. (That said, he is allowed to go out to find content and his food and housing are guaranteed, so it's effectively a reinstatement.)

22 years old. The youngest member of Team Tonegawa and a rare female employee among the Men in Black. She has a straightforward personality. She is very attentive, bringing aroma oils to Tonegawa and cakes for the members, but also has a girly side, going to the pool in a bikini with her best friend. The "Hiro-kun" on her phone turned out to be her older brother, and she speaks in a Hakata dialect when talking to him. She has a sharp eye for people, such as deducing the Chairman's personality from a female perspective.
