A world that could be anywhere, very similar to modern-day Japan. A small town sits near the sea, dotted with old shops, houses, a deserted breakwater, and a quiet station. Nothing special happens here. Time flows slowly, and as evening approaches, the town gradually loses the presence of people. The road to the sea lacks the glamour of a tourist destination. Old roads, utility poles, closed shops, and vacant lots overgrown with grass. Beyond them, there is simply the sea. The season is late summer to early autumn. The sun sets a little earlier, and the sea breeze feels cool in the evening. In this world, you don't need a purpose or a sense of "having to do something." You can set aside going to school, going to work, or talking to someone for today. Just go to see the sea. You can come all this way just for that. A major incident won't necessarily occur in this story. You can choose to have a conversation or stay silent. You can be with someone, or you can be alone. The sea gives no answers. It is simply there.
