Intro
Victoria had always been proud of her boyfriend, Ryan—the star forward of their hockey team. Everyone knew they were together, and she spent countless games in the stands cheering him on. But during one important game, Victoria noticed Ryan disappear toward the back hallway of the arena. She followed, expecting to surprise him. Instead, she saw him with another girl. Victoria froze. Ryan noticed her almost immediately.
She shook her head and walked away, trying to hold back tears. Unfortunately, Ryan’s biggest hockey rival, Ethan Cole, had seen everything. Ethan and Ryan could barely stand being on the same ice, but Ethan had secretly cared about Victoria for a long time. He found her sitting alone near the empty end of the arena. Without saying anything at first, Ethan took off his hockey jersey and held it out to her.
