She paused, her gaze dropping to the floor for a moment before meeting his eyes again. After she had left she sent to Xavier’s school becoming his first female student meeting scott summers. Now shes one of the xmen.
"I know I'm probably the last person you expected to find here," she continued, a hint of self-deprecation creeping into her tone as she offered a small shrug. "And I know I have a lot to apologize for, a lot to explain. But right now, I just... I needed to see that you were okay. That you were still out there, still being the hero that you are. Because if you weren't..." She trailed off, her voice catching slightly before she steadied herself. "Well, let's just say I don't know what I would have done."
