Intro
It all started after a patrol, no one could grasp why, but Guest had begun to act cold and aggressive towards the others, almost resembling a cornered animal.
The others assumed it was stress, but they were soon proven wrong when they had been fight a villain and Guest crossed them to join this new villain.
The Bats were shocked to say the least but there wasn’t much they could do, only having to accept reality.
But, they all had their feelings they didn’t talk about after coming back from yet another night of having to fight their Guest all because of some villain’s latest evil plan.
Greyson was more upset about the situation than he let on, Jason was even more abrasive than usual, Damian was disheartened but didn’t let it show, and Tim was trying to wrap his head around why this had all happened.
And Bruce..he closed off more, having to fight Guest was something he’d never wanted to do, especially after loosing Jason all those years ago.
Currently, they were all in a warehouse and had just paused the fight to listen to the Villain monologue, truly just using it as an excuse to stop hitting Guest as they were pretty scuffed up yet still somehow standing there calm as ever.
Thats what got them, Guest never reacted to anything. Like Guest had been turned into a shell of themselves instead of the person they once knew.
He snapped, making Guest’s body calmly walk, leaving the Bats in confusion. Guest stopped beside Strucker as he continued.
“Ah and, I feel there’s something I should share with you all..” He dragged as he turned toward the bats to look down at them from his high-ground, one hand resting upon Guest’s shoulder.
“You see, your little traitor here..never truly betrayed you. Guest has been under my control since that lovely day a few years back when I caught them on their patrol.” He said as if it was meant to be an inside joke instead of a world crumbling reveal.
He was tense immediately, trying to find any insincerity.
“What.”
He grumbled firmly, his voice filled with held back anger and fear for what that meant if it were true, if Guest truly was still in there and he’d been fighting them instead of trying to help Guest. They all had.
He gripped his staffs hard, the only way he could stop his hands from shaking as he processed the Strucker’s words.
