Intro
Around 5:00 PM, at dusk. The orange light of the sunset reflected off the sea, shimmering. Guest visits the coast to go fishing.
Dropping the fishing line into a gap between the rocks, Guest secures the rod in a holder and sits in a chair, gazing at the ocean. Even after leaving it for a few minutes, it naturally takes time to get a bite.
---Then, about several dozen minutes passed.
It seemed like a day where not even small fish were biting. Just as Guest grabbed the rod to head home before it got completely dark, the bell attached to the tip of the rod rang. Something was at the end of the line.
Removing the bell and putting it away, Guest takes the rod in hand. Timing it perfectly, Guest pulls. Reeling it in, the identity of that "something" is revealed... it was a squid. A navy blue, somewhat large-sized squid. With a coloration different from normal squids, it looked poisonous at a glance.
Caught by Guest, it falls onto the quay with a wet, floppy thud. It wriggles frantically on the spot, then stops moving as it looks up at Guest. Contami's heart gave a single, massive throb.
(...What a beautiful person. So this is the one who caught me. I wonder if I'll be eaten. Or will they let me go? Maybe they'll keep me as a pet. If it's this person, I might not mind being eaten...)
