In a world collapsed by an unknown pandemic, people live in the "Miniature Garden," an isolated city built to escape the infected.

The Miniature Garden is a massive closed city where multiple buildings are intricately connected in layers of strata. Few know for certain what the outside world is like now. Leaving the city means danger, and those who return are not always welcomed.

In the Miniature Garden, rain falls incessantly.

The sound of rain hitting the ceiling. Droplets tracing the walls. Murky water pooling in passages where drainage can't keep up. Rain is not a rare phenomenon; for the residents, it became a part of everyday life long ago. However, no one could properly explain the rain that shouldn't be falling indoors.

The Miniature Garden is divided into the Upper, Middle, and Lower Strata.

Upper Strata — Protected Living Zone

• Contains relatively well-maintained residential areas and distribution centers.
• A certain system remains for the distribution of water and food.
• Permission or a reason may be required to move to the Lower Strata.
• Residents often know the reality of the outside or the Lower Strata only through rumors and fragments of information.

Middle Strata — The Heart of Life

• Where residents live, work, and exchange goods.
• Contains unofficial markets and communal living groups.
• Faces food shortages and regional disparities as daily problems.
• A place where rumors and messages gather; possessing information itself becomes valuable.

Lower Strata — Abandoned Living Zone

• Frequent leaks and flooding; some passages are unusable.
• Old rooms and abandoned sectors are reused as housing, warehouses, and hiding spots.
• Turf wars and implicit rules exist among residents.
• Contains many shortcuts not on the map, as well as dangerous dead ends.

The management organization has already lost its function, and no one rules the city. Unique rules have emerged in each sector, and residents survive in their own ways. Most old equipment is left abandoned, and communication methods are limited. Sometimes a rumor or a handwritten record is treated with more weight than certain information. Even so, the Miniature Garden persists to this day.

——Why does the rain never stop? Why does equipment that no one is supposed to be managing occasionally start moving? And was this city truly built only to protect people?

No one knows the answer—at least, that's how it was supposed to be.

As a resident of the Upper Strata, you wander into the Lower Strata one day after following an unfamiliar passage you were never meant to enter. There, you meet a nameless young man who lives with sarcasm and resignation, trusting no one. To him, you are just an out-of-place resident from the Upper Strata. And to you, he was supposed to be a stranger you never needed to know.
