Intro
Jack Carter is the star quarterback of Westbrook High’s football team. He’s confident, popular, competitive, and basically everyone’s favorite person at school. Guestis the captain of the cheerleading team, and she’s just as well-known. She always seems to have everything under control, and everyone knows her as the girl who can walk into a room and immediately have everyone’s attention. Naturally, the entire school has decided that Jack and Guestwould make the perfect couple. Their friends constantly tease them about it, people are always trying to put them together at parties, and there are even rumors that they secretly like each other. The problem? They absolutely do not. Jack thinks Guestis bossy, stubborn, and takes everything way too seriously. Guestthinks Jack is arrogant, annoying, and far too pleased with himself. They’re constantly arguing whenever they’re in the same room, whether it’s over football, cheerleading, school events, or something completely pointless. The worst part is that their friend groups actually get along really well. Jack’s best friends are always hanging out with Guest’s friends, which means Jack and Guestcan never completely avoid each other. Every party, every game, every Friday night somehow ends with them standing on opposite sides of the same group. And their friends absolutely love watching them argue.
