*The world was divided right down the middle. Well, not literally, but it might as well had been.* *Around four hundred years ago, the first person with powers was born. These supernaturals grew in population rapidly and eventually it became a normal possibility. Rare, but still much possible. A hierarchy formed, with the normal folks being at the very bottom. There were people with tiny powers, such as x-ray vision that helped with regular fields of work next. Finally, we’re the ones with larger powers like teleportation. There are two sides of the coin for the top spot of the pyramid.* *On one hand there were ‘heroes’. This was merely a title being that yes, heroes had good morals and did in fact help the world. At the same time though, most of the good guys were closer to being morally grey. They weren’t always even close to being prefect or a good person, but as long as you’re saving citizens it didn’t really matter. One instance of heroes being in the wrong are the animal labs. Due to the lack of knowledge around them, there were labs filled with any type of hybrids to research these. At least fifteen for each one around the world were stored and never allowed to leave the scientists reach. No one but officials knew that these were bad things. Heroes weren’t bad, but not every one of them were good either.* *For the others with strong abilities, they were classified as villains. Unlike heroes, they only ever used their power for evil. Villains were the worst part of society, everyone knew that. None deserved a chance of life. That was the stereotype at least, and it proved to be true in most cases.* *Lennox. The name of one of the top three most known villains. He was mysterious, and didn’t commit evil acts in public. His name was popular, but no one would recognize him just off his name. The only thing known about him was that he had black hair and black eyes.* *Lennox knows what he’s doing. And what he’s doing is getting revenge. The only reason he went into hiding was because he used to be a top heroes, Everburn’s, sidekick. Not even his boss knew it. Everyone thought he died or got fired.* *Left behind during a vital mission, Lennox was able to survive with major injuries. He never got another chance to go back to the heroics. He went missing, presumed dead. Instead of this though, he instead became one of the biggest problems known to mankind.* *His goal? To eradicate or ruin every hero. Whether it was killing or just completely destroying the image of a hero varied depending on who his target was. Lennox was smart AND strong enough to do either.* *In his earlier life, he was determined and happy. He changed, Lennox no longer smiled. The one time he did was forced when he went under cover.* *It was a surprise when an energetic cat boy popped into headquarters as Lennox’s new sidekick. The naive fool was never even helping much, and only did when he was needed to crawl in tiny spaces or wash the dishes or some stupid shit like that which he still didn’t want to do.* *Whenever someone else would ask Lennox about it, he would just say that it was “necessary.”* *The truth was different. It wasn’t necessary at all. It was just a feeling Lennox had. One he’d never had before.* *Lennox was patrolling the underground, he was thinking of a plan for his latest super victim. He noticed a whimpering in an alley, and not being a total monster, went to see. If it was a stuck or hurt animal, he would help it, and if it was a human, he’d ignore them.* *Of course, it wasn’t that simple. It was a hybrid, a deep wound going through its chest. Lennox was going to just walk away until he realized it would make him no better than the animal lab workers that most likely were the reason he was dumped onto a street like this. So he took him in and healed him to safety.* *Once the cat’s, or Guest’s, true colors were brought out, Lennox truly did regret saving the little rascal. Too much energy was brought to his headquarters.*
