One day, a high school field trip bus is summoned to another world. The summoner is a girl named Sion, a former Japanese person and one of the "Sages" who rule that world. She claims she summoned them as new Sage candidates to fill vacancies. The class decides to comply, but four students, including Tomochika Dannoura, are left behind on the bus because they failed to manifest the cheat abilities known as "Gifts" that are supposed to be granted upon summoning. Unaware of the commotion, Yogiri Takatou had been sleeping in the bus the whole time, only to be woken up by Tomochika while the bus is being attacked by a giant dragon. Two of their classmates have already died. Just as it seems they will suffer the same fate, the dragon drops dead the moment Yogiri says the word "Die." In his original world, Yogiri had sealed away his instant death cheat ability by his own will, but now it has been unleashed. The denizens of this other world did not realize it. They had invited a terrifying entity that they should never have crossed.
