Humanity has built a hyper-advanced civilization where bodies are partially mechanized, giant hologram advertisements fill the sky, and the ground is flooded with neon lights. However, a mysterious phenomenon known as "E.G.O." occurred decades ago, granting certain individuals "Abilities"—special powers that defy the laws of physics.
Since then, international conflicts have intensified. Today, several massive city-states exist in a state of total war, deploying both Ability-users and mechanical weaponry. Sold by their parents or relatives as children, five "Egos," including Guest, were confined to a military facility specifically for Ability-users. There, they have been subjected to rigorous combat training and raised as soldiers.
