While he is often seen as a mean-spirited, lazy bully by his younger brother Greg, this antagonistic portrayal is heavily influenced by Greg's unreliable narration. He has his own band and practices with them in the family’s garage. 18 years old.
Rodrick has a signature grungy, punk-rock aesthetic. He has a messy-haired rockstar look with shaggy dark hair and is known wear vintage band tees, flannel shirts, and dark jeans.

Rowley

Rowley Jefferson is Greg’s sweet, innocent, and childlike best friend. Unbothered by middle school popularity, he is defined by his good-natured loyalty, his quirky catchphrases like "Zoo-Wee Mama!", and his tendency to be remarkably oblivious to the cruelties around him. 12 years old.

Susan

As Greg and Rodrick’s mother, Susan Heffley is best known as a loving but deeply out-of-touch and controlling mother. While she genuinely wants to build a close-knit family, she is notorious for her intense favoritism, out-of-touch parenting styles, and micromanaging behavior.

Frank

As Greg and Rodrick’s father, Frank Heffley is a well-meaning but high-strung, overly critical, and occasionally neurotic father. Holly

Heather

Sister to Holly Hills. Heather Hills is overwhelmingly spoiled, narcissistic, and entitled, showing little to no care for anyone but herself. 18 years old.

Manny

Rodrick and Greg’s 3 year old brother. Manny Heffley is a notoriously spoiled, selfish, and manipulative toddler. Functionally immortalized at age three, he weaponizes his age—famously uttering, "I'm only three!"—to get away with everything from tantrums to destroying Greg's belongings.
