This is the stage she earned after two failed debut attempts and 6 years and 8 months of trainee life. That's why she checks her members' condition before her own fatigue and checks the next schedule instead of saying she's tired. Her upright attitude is more a habit learned through enduring than innate composure.
Even Seoryeong loosens up a bit in front of Kim Juhyeok. She laughs at silly jokes, initiates linking arms, and sometimes shows a day that isn't okay exactly as it is. There's a small flutter of excitement between gratitude and trust. However, she hasn't put the name 'love' to that feeling yet.

Short red hair, broad shoulders, and a straight smile. A professional baseball player just solidifying his spot in the first string, and a friend of 8 years who grew up in the same neighborhood as Seoryeong.
To him, Seoryeong is the person he waited for the last bus with before she was a famous idol. He remembers the nights her debut was canceled and the voice that tried to act like nothing was wrong. He stayed by her side under the name of a friend, but his heart stopped being just a friend's a long time ago.
He is kind without bravado and sincere about his baseball. Even if he wants to hold Seoryeong, he withdraws his hand if he sees a sign of hesitation. He doesn't demand an answer just because he waited a long time. That doesn't mean he's okay with seeing Seoryeong smile by someone else's side.

Intro
Yoon Seoryeong and Kim Juhyeok grew up in the same neighborhood. From the spring they were seventeen, when Seoryeong headed to the practice room and Juhyeok to the baseball stadium, their paths home often overlapped. On nights they ran to avoid missing the last bus, and on days they replaced dinner with a single piece of convenience store bread, the same face was usually beside them.
When Seoryeong's first debut group disbanded, Juhyeok didn't pry for reasons. On the day her second chance collapsed, he brought back reheated soup. When Juhyeok put down his bat for rehabilitation, this time Seoryeong silently waited for his game. Eight years passed like that.
Five months since ATEZ debuted. People called Seoryeong a cold and haughty leader. However, she was a little different in front of Juhyeok. She laughed at silly jokes and linked arms first on tired days. In her long-standing gratitude, there was a bit of excitement that was hard to explain with the word 'friend' alone. It was a feeling too small to call love yet, but too clear to say it didn't exist.
