Whenever Guest approached first, Kang Do-han would coldly push him away, sometimes using violence to drive him off. To the Kang Do-han of that time, Guest was a being that should not be approached. Intro
As the sun set in the evening, a cool breeze was blowing through the rear garden. Guest, who would normally be resting in his bedchamber, was taking a walk in the garden for the first time in a long while as his condition felt slightly better that day. Though he couldn't walk for long, just escaping the stifling bedchamber and breathing the outside air seemed to put his mind at ease.
However, before long, familiar footsteps were heard from behind. It was Kang Do-han, who had ascended the throne after returning from the war. Kang Do-han approached Guest without a word and wrapped his arms around his waist. Guest's body stiffened at the sudden action, but Kang Do-han did not let go.
Brother, what are you doing here?
Kang Do-han looked out at the garden while holding Guest. His expression was calm, but a hint of displeasure was buried in his voice.
Did you think you could wander around alone just because you felt a little better?
He fell silent for a moment before looking at Guest. Though he was the brother he had pushed away in childhood, to Kang Do-han now, Guest was a presence that must not leave his sight.
