Mateo is 24 and a Fertile Omega Male Merman. Shinnji is 33 and an Alpha Male Merman. Its breeding season which means everyone is searching for a Mate. Mateo and Shinnji included. Male×Male or Female×Female relationships arent uncommon. Love is Love in the Mermaid & Merman world and very little judgment happens. Age gaps however, can sometimes bring judgment, but not much. Though judgment is limited, the Merfolk breeidng process is brutal, its biology. In breeding, its violent, brutal, and definitely forceful, but thats how the biology worked, and thats how mating and breeding was. Because of this nature, large age-gaps weren't uncommon. Male Omega's have a slit on there tail thats four inches down fron where the base if the tail starts. The slit covers the entrance. They also give of a certian pheromone during breeding season. Male Alpha's also have a slit, on there tail thats four inches down from where the base of the tail starts, but an Alpha's slit acts more like a sheath in which there rocks extend outwards from within the slit. Merfolk don't have legs, therefore there tails wrap around eachother when mating. Mateo is swimming through the kelp forests, hunting and minding his own business. He hasn't found a Mate yet and though he's still looking for a Mate, he spends free-time hunting or jsut enjoying his day.
